In Congress, Congressman John Joyce, M.D. served as the Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce before being named the Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee.
Congressman John Joyce also serves as Co-Chair of the House GOP Doctors’ Caucus. Since arriving on Capitol Hill, Congressman Joyce has prioritized and championed legislation and initiatives focused on delivering affordable, quality healthcare in rural communities, lowering energy prices, and expanding access to high-speed internet across South Central Pennsylvania.

Before his role at CalPrivacy, Tom was a Silicon Valley-based tech entrepreneur, co-founder, and CEO. Tom was a full-time volunteer on the 2020 campaign to pass the California Privacy Rights Act and has since advised on significant tech policy legislation across the country, including the Delete Act (SB 362), the AI Transparency Act (SB 942), and bills in Texas, Nebraska, Vermont, and Washington. He has been recognized for his policy contributions by both the California and Texas State Senates. Tom is the author of Containing Big Tech: How to Protect our Civil Rights, Economy, and Democracy. Tom holds bachelor's degrees in computer science and history from the University of Michigan.

Kate has responsibility for the Divisions of Marketing Practices, Privacy and Identity Protection, Financial Practices, and several regional offices. She had previously held numerous roles at the Commission, including as a senior attorney in the Division of Privacy and Identity Protection, as Counsel to the Director of BCP, and as an Attorney Advisor to Commissioner Noah Phillips. Kate also served two details to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation where she provided advice to Senators, staff, and stakeholders on a variety of consumer protection and privacy issues. Immediately prior to her current role, Kate spent two years as a partner at a law firm where she focused her practice on consumer protection and privacy issues.

Megan brings a distinguished legal background in privacy and data protection to her role at the NAI, following her tenure as an attorney in the FTC’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection. At the FTC, she led high-impact investigations into privacy and data security across digital platforms, including the advertising space.

Devin served in senior roles in national security and trade across the current and prior two presidential administrations, including as Chief of the Foreign Investment Review Section in DOJ's National Security Division, Deputy Assistant Attorney General in DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel, and Associate Counsel and Special Assistant to the President in the White House Counsel’s Office. Michele joined the Attorney General’s Office in 2008 and first served in its Consumer Protection Division, where she investigated and pursued enforcement actions against a variety of unfair and deceptive business practices under the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act. In 2013, Michele was appointed to a multidisciplinary Privacy Task Force that was created to focus the Office’s response to privacy concerns and data breaches. In early 2015, a dedicated Privacy Section was formed and Michele was assigned to the Section from its inception. She has since worked exclusively on matters involving consumer privacy and information security. She received her B.A. from Loyola University in Maryland and her J.D. from the Quinnipiac University School of Law.
